Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
