From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within the city.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
This warrior group features the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the secret base, assaulting the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each member has a individual motive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous place.
- The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute the target and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The fighter swore a life debt to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them little choice but to head to Timmony in search of the antagonist.
Upcoming Developments
Based on the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to round up the Questers and Planners tables.
Fans can anticipate discovering which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
